Talk about squeezing in a lot of stuff in just 2 days! We started off by meeting Pat and Bridget up at Cracker Barrel for lunch on Saturday at 11:30. By one, we had transfered all of Savannah's gear into their car and Shawn and I were on the road to Macon. It took about 3 hours and 15 min to get there which wasn't too bad. It was actually great considering we didn't have Savannah with us! We checked into the hotel and relaxed for about an hour. About 5:30 I got ready and we went to dinner at Panera. (It was kinda slim pickin's right around there) We got to the concert at about 6:30 and it started at 7:30. Initially I wasn't too thrilled with the opening performers, Chuck Wicks and Rodney Atkins, but they were both amazing! Even if you don't care for someone's songs on the radio, there is just something about seeing it preformed live that makes it very enjoyable!! They were both great performers and awesome musicians!!
Now that brings me to the whole reason we went, Brad Paisley.....WOW!! That was one awesome concert!! I have been a Brad Paisley fan for forever and it was so amazing to see him there live!! The set was spectacular and couldn't of been done any better!! Over all it was a great night and it was so wonderful to be out with my husband just the two of us!!
We got back home yesterday at about 2. We made a pit stop just north of Brunswick where the outlet malls are for a bit of shopping and lunch. It was a very whirlwind trip, but totally worth it!! =)
