Saying Goodbye...

I had to say goodbye to my first friend as being a Navy wife.  I met her not too long after moving to Charleston and we were both crazy enough to actually want to come to Kings Bay and both got our insane wish.  I have known her for 3 years.  As much as it hurt to say goodbye to her, it was very sad to have to say goodbye to her boys.  I have never been more comfortable around any other kids (with the exception of Claire now) than hers.  I am going to dearly miss her, but I know that we will see each other again soon.  Tonya if you read this I wish you and your family the best of luck and I am going to miss you!

I know this is just a glimpse into what life in the Navy is going to be like.  Along with Tonya, I have made some of my best friends here.  It already greatly saddens me to think that I am going to have to say goodbye to them in a short years time.  As sad as I am to see my husband leave when he does, I know he will return to me, once I say goodbye to my friends there is no telling where each of our lives will go.  I hope throughout our Navy career I am will be lucky enough to find good friends at each new place we live, but I know that no one will replace Tonya, Mary, and Bridget!!  =)
