One Month Old!

Little Miss Scarlett is one month old today! I can't believe how fast it has gone! I don't know what exactly I expecting with having another baby, but this was beyond my wildest dreams! Scarlett is a WONDERFUL baby! The first 2 weeks of her life, she slept all through the night! Well, she really slept all day too. She didn't open her eyes up much the first two weeks, but by week 3 and 4 she is becoming more alert and making eye contact. She has the most precious little face and I could stare at it all day!

Shawn and I feel like Scarlett just fits right into our little family and life isn't really much different. Savannah is doing great with Little S, and wants nothing more than to help! She is constantly giving Baby Sister hugs and kisses and will try to help tend to her when she needs something. Savannah has been the biggest help to me with getting stuff that is out of my reach while I am holding Scarlett, seeing as I can't just jump up and get what I need.

I have become a baby wearing mama! Scarlett loves the baby bijorn and I am thrilled since that's the easiest way for me to cart her around for things like taking Big S to school twice a week and whatnot! Scarlett loves her swing and tends to nap in that quite a bit during the day, but if she is restless I will strap her on and go about my day while she naps, and I love it!

I am enjoying having a newborn so much more this time around. I feel like with Savannah I didn't know what I was doing and was so stressed out all the time that I was just biding my time until she got older, but with Scarlett, I LOVE how little she is and how I can just sit and cuddle her or nurse her and enjoy it!

She is nursing like a champ and, unlike the first child, Scarlett will take a paci and a bottle!! I can't even begin to explain how much her doing those two things has made my life so much easier!! I bought a great pump and have milk stored up so I don't have to be on call ALL the time. Shawn is really enjoying being able to feed his little girl because he never had that experience with Savannah. It's a great way for her and him to bond! Savannah is anxiously awaiting Sister to get a little bigger so she can give her a bottle too!

I could probably go on and on about how much I am enjoying being a mommy to two wonderful little girls, but I won't bore you! Bottom line is, our little family couldn't be happier! Happy One Month Scarlett! =)

**Will post a picture when I can get them off of Shawn's computer onto mine!!**
